This is now just a place for me to post my portraits and caricatures. To purchase my work you can email me at: kvannoy@heroize.org You can also see more examples at: www.HEROIZE.ORG
So Kyle, now that I finally get how to play this game I will go out on a limb with my guess for this week. All of the people you drew (Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Jimmy Carter, Rigoberta Menchú Tum, Wangari Muta Maathai) are Nobel peace prize winners. Thank you Nobelprize.org! Very nice drawings by the way! You still doing any traditional animation?
Good job Shawn, You are correct! I knew I could count on you. I'm glad that it also makes more sense now. I haven't had the time to do any traditional animation in quite a while. I currently animate and edit mo-cap in Motion Builder and sometimes Maya 5 days a week. I am also trying to finish some drawings and designs for our kids' play room and their bedrooms. Let me know which drawing you want me to send you. Are you still animating your personal project?
I really like this drawing! Lots of cool stuff happening. I like that you included more of the shoulders so that it is not just a head floating in space. The head dress gives it alot of character although I would like to see more detail in that part of the drawing. The lack of detail on the lower part of the drawing is ok because it tapers off. Something that you could have done a little more of on Dr. King. There is great shading in the face but then his shoulder are mostly line. You can really see it go flat there. It is still one of my favorites though.
For Maathai, I would work on emphasizing how her head looks almost horizontal with her hair tie thing-- right now she's looking too much like an aunt jemima knockoff. Anyways good job!

Actually...on a second look, I like this one the way it is. Something about it just works. Good job.

I really like your draw... it´s very nice. I was looking for a image of Wangari Muta and you have this beautifull thing. Why you paint it?
